Technically i think Bdubs did this first in hermitcraft season 7, he called it pretty stone But this is way different as his was just making redstone look pretty in builds while being functional where these are using redstone to bring things to life rather than being normal redstone but pretty rather than efficient

I think what's wild about these to me is that a lot of them are ones that would have been doable years ago. The activator rail one would have been possible all the way back in like 1.7, before the combat update. Most of these need observers and slime blocks which would have been in the game back in 2016 (that makes me feel so old). Most of this isn't because of new additions to the game, it's a shift in redstone methodology as a whole which I think is pretty cool
