But gladly i did

@vampyricon7026

I forgot how crazy good Animated Shockwave's design is.

@dragonscaleds

I'm absolutely in love with how these two dynamics were portrayed in here.. it gave me a different view of these two and it's just so (idk how to describe it...a father and son type of dynamic?). Bumblebee thinks that shockwave is wasp because he's technically the first guy to treat him horribly alongside with the other bots. While bee tells longarm about how wasp is a supposed spy, longarm realises that if he'd tell anyone else, they'd spread rumours about a spy that would ruin his plan which ended up in him deciding to terminate him later on. However, he continues to listen to bee's suspicions for more details. Wasp and Ironhide locks bee in the locker, longarm rescues him after but his face doesn't portray any emotions whatsoever as to show that he doesn't feel any sympathy towards bee. The scene slowly transitions to shockwave attempting at assassinating bumblebee just as he planned. He walks away as he finally flicks the switch that triggered the assault but he soon realised something; bumblebee trusted him. In fact, he trusted in shockwave so much that he'd tell his own suspicion of someone to him. No one tells someone such information unless they feel as though the other person would keep the information in safe hands (or servos in this case). Shockwave truly felt deep regret in that short moment of time. Memories of bumblebee went back to him like tides, the imagery of someone with a grin that you'd see if they'd truly have faith in you. Shockwave hurriedly rushed back to bumblebee to check on him in hopes that he'd be in good condition at least. But he had already saw bulkhead accompanying him, making shockwave realise the fact that he's the one with the stained servos. He's guilty and caused all of this to happen. He took advantage of someone that trusted him and deceived the same bot.

Me personally I think this shows an interesting standpoint from the decepticons. Betrayal is one thing but what if it was someone that had faith in you? When shockwave pulled that trigger, he thought of nothing else but to terminate Bumblebee to not risk him into being in any inconveniences in the upcoming future but when he realised his actions, he felt as though he betrayed bee despite the fact he had himself hidden the whole time. Bulkhead saw who committed the act but bee didn't because he never realised that the one that he had trusted..was the one that was planning to betray him.
10/10.

My eyes are forever blessed when i come onto this channel

@KeganLeavess

This is SUCH a cool interpretation of their dynamic!! I really love how the limited color palette is used to convey emotion, it's so beautiful! And ohhh the last scene with Bee not even turning to look at Shockwave hurts so well (animated Shockwave in your style looks so awesome, my favourite cryptid deer robot)

@pyritepawz07

please keep making self indulgent fandom content, it makes the world a better place :-)

@myselph1761

The 2007 animated Transformers art style is criminally underrated

@Dearlybeloathed

Already loving the lineless art

@xXDisturbedFoxXx

Love the idea that Shockwave unintentionally gets emotionally attached to Bumblebee esp since in the academy Bee probably would have confided in him a lot. I still love the horribly dense and morally wrong Shockwave. But layers like this to his character where he'd trying so hard NOT to care but does anyways makes me love him even more. 😩 doesnt help my favorite single dad Soundwave is my favorite character

@CC-of6bb

I love this jagged lineless style, this has so many cool effects too like the blurred background (2:38) and the silhouettes. 3 minutes is crazy impressive too. And The Rare Occasions music?!? :0 (also. I've been watching Transformers as recommend last video. Bumblebee is my favorite he's so innocent and perfect and NOW I understand some of the story of the last few Transformers animations. Thank you for introducing me!!)

@ROASTYPOTATO-hg5bw

As soon as I saw tfa Shockwave as the thumbnail I screamed-

 Omg where do I even BEGIN! I love the way you portrayed Bee and Shockwave's dynamic here since I feel like they're not really explored enough. Using grayscale is an interesting choice because it really makes the scenes with red, especially towards the end, more impactful (ik that's the intent but it's still so cool!)

0:43 Just wanted to timestamp this because I felt like his real eye appearing was important.

0:47-0:51 The look of horror on Bee as he learns that Shockwave isn't an Autobot is so well done!

0:53 The red surrounding Shockwave to show his true colors.

0:55-0:59 You can see the look of guilt in Bee as he realizes too late that he sent an innocent bot, Wasp, to jail instead of the real traitor.

1:03 For a moment, Shockwave looks nervous and understandably so because if his cover is blown, then it will ruin the Decepticon's plan to take over Cybertron.

1:06-1:10 Notice how Shockwave's real eye is looking at Wasp and Ironhide. With Bee, albeit unintentionally, knowing that there's a Decepticon among the Elite Guard's ranks, Shockwave uses this info to his advantage by setting up Wasp. Shockwave's real eye disappears once he focuses back on Bee. This might be to show that he's getting comfortable with Bee's presence.

1:15 Shockwave didn't have to get Bee out of the locker, but he did. It could've been to avoid suspicion from Bee but something tells me he also did it because somewhere deep down, he actually enjoyed being Bee's friend.

1:44-2:12 This has got to be my favorite part! Shockwave could've walked away, but he stops to ponder over his friendship with Bee and finally acknowledges that he cares for him. His claws framing the Decepticon insignia as the song reaches, "Not through the lense" is perfect because it emphasizes how Shockwave has begun to question the Decepticon cause.

2:13 Panic overtakes Shockwave as he rushes to save his only friend.

2:38 Poor Bee feels betrayed that he can't look at Shockwave.

2:47 Shockwave is hidden by dust to symbolize his deceptive nature.

@nywatt2

i love the fuzzy effect at 2:09 omg this is so peak

@gigi-f27

this color palette is so in stars and time i love it. lineless swagger. (incapable of coming up with genuine compliments) absolute groovy.

@Its_me_Stolas

The thing that makes me stay awake at nights is realising that Bumblebee waas unknowingly a traitor. I love how someone else brought the idea of Shockwave questioning himself and his actions. I mean he is loyal and calculative. Seeing that Bee knows about traitor among them, puts the whole infiltration operation at risk of failure. But he did get close, even if it was by pure coincedence. Of course we can't deny him dispatching agent Blure, but it all because Blure knew who he was. Yet at that time there was no direct threat to the mission, so he probably felt the taste of freedom and complete absense of oppressive fear that he inflicted and experienced

@dayhuerta8100

TFA is one of the few TF continuities that has this much love
To get animatics and animations even tho this day

its so beutiful ❤

Thanks for the animatic! ❤

@WhimsicalCheetah

The realization ShackWave had when he cannot kill Bee…not only betrayed Bee but he was Wasps’ friend. He betrayed Wasp to keep his cover

@poprocks6576

So happy to see your love for tf one extending to other transformers stuff, thr tfa community is dedicated but I haven't seen much fan content until recently and it's lovely to see. The personallity you injected into Shockwave is breaking my heart, I love how horrified you made both of them! Thank you for the amazing content as always

@Tamanegi-P

Oh this is like an actual video 😭😭

@firebug9482

Shockwave at first: Scrap, gotta kill this guy, he might uncover me!
Shockwave now: OH NO, MY SON!
