Praise God for All of the talented people who make all different types of music, I only love and listen to Gospel music ❤, But, granddaughter who is 17, and recovering from brain surgery, love R & B MUSIC, I had no idea what she was talking about, so I came to You Tube! Listened to this while doing all my morning tedious chores before the kids wake up. And in my mind it was the summer of 1999, I was in 8th grade, about to start 9th grade and turn 14, hanging out with my friends in the public pool while this music was blaring from someone's car in the pool parking lot. My friends who have since died or since grown apart and moved on with our own lives, they're all with me again. My grandma is alive again. My family is all together and still speaking because we haven't lost our matriarch. Family parties are still a thing because everyone is together. For this wonderful hour, it was 1999 again. Now that the video is over, I'm back in the present, 36 years old, doing dishes, husband at work, kids asleep. I love my kids, I love my husband. I love what I've got now. But I sure do miss being young, and having the people I loved dearly back in my life again. It's funny, at 14, I never thought about the day that would come where I wouldn't have that life anymore. I remember playing MASH with my friends and saying man I can't wait to grow up! Now I'm 36 and wanting to be 14 again. Anyway, it was nice to have this hour of quiet, listening to the music of my childhood. This was a gift. Thank you.
