10:47 I've heard that the Top 100 is not even what Nintendo thought was the best minigames of the series. It was the American localization team that chose to call it that. It really is just a random selection of 100 games.
Battle League was such a bummer, to wait 15 years for a series to return and it being that bland and having so much less content was so brutal.
The WORST Luigi's Mansion isn't Dark Moon, it's the one that was released after it: the light gun arcade game.
Knowing what I know now, I'm thankful Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan) was kept away from the public at the time. It's like Mario Maker troll levels sometimes, but not the good ones that are artful and funny, if you're into that. No, just some simply unfair stuff.
2:52 NSMB2 has a multiplayer mode, where player 2 can play as Luigi. So, while having just two players isn’t as much as the Wii and Wii U games, it’s definitely NOT just single player.
Keep the Battle League hate coming, that game is prob the most disappointing Mario sports game of all time
I have not started this video, but I know for a fact that the worst Mario Strikers game is Battle League
I’ll never forget playing the original Mario kart… worst experience EVER. The turning was pure agony, I felt like all of us were going 10 miles per hour (except when you’re turning and all control goes out the freaking window), and for a more casual player like me, impossible to win without spending hours on it…. Which you couldn’t pay me to do.💀
In my opinion, worst Mario Golf game is NES OPEN
21:15 The International Olympics Committee (IOC) let the deal expire with both NIntendo and SEGA and choose NFTs (which it became irrelevant at the time) over another Mario & Sonic game, effectively killing the series.
The 3DS is having a hard time today
Ah, Sticker Star. The little game that couldn't.
2:41 Doesn't NSMB2 have 2-player multiplayer?
Sticker star had bad writing? I wasn’t aware it had writing to begin with…
22:50 doesn't Spark Of Hope have a difficulty selection tho? i guess Kingdom Battle has harder challenge missions but if you play on "hard" the whole game becomes more difficult
The M&S 2016 games aren't that bad, they're just ok party games. 2014 is really unpleasing to play, because it forces you to switch controllers everytime; while 2012 on 3DS is an atrocious mini-games compilation, with events being absurdly shorts (the marathon is a QTE where you grab a bottle, I'm not kidding). 2016 on both platforms was an improvement compared to those two, even if it didn't quite reach the peak of the Wii and DS games.
A Mario RPG crossover is the incarnate of missed potential. Imagine Fawful and Dimentio teaming up to destroy the entire Mario multiverse, requiring the paper and non-paper worlds to set aside their differences to take on what would be one of the most epic final bosses in Mario history. In an ideal world, Mario and Sonic would be the odd strategy game, with Mario and Rabbids being the minigame compilation. I'd love to see Mario and Sonic devise a tactic to defeat new Mechakoopas and Badniks that rely on the weaknesses of the opposite protagonists.
You forgot to talk about the mario character spin-offs that aren't luigi's mansion like the peach, wario, toad, and yoshi games
14:35 THIS IS WHAT I AM SAYING Color Splash is genuinely one of my favorite Paper Mario games, just because of how enjoyable and fun the writing is. Sure, the battle system isn’t the best, but as long as I’m enjoying the game, I like it. also huey is genuinely the best travel partner ever, comfortably beating olivia and kresti by a long shot
