Even an ocean of strings and brass at full blast can't compete with that voice. I'm terrified yet happy as a clam.
Shirley is the DIVA, with a powerful musical style all her own. Her voice is still wonderful after so many years....5 stars performance!
In my opinion. Our greatest female British singer. Not taking anything away from any others because we have had some true greats but shirley is a treasure proving that diamonds are forever. I was blessed that my late mother used to belt out her records when I was young. Her voice always reduces me to tears.
Tennant and Lowe song beautiful ❤
When Corona and Ed Sheeran are long gone and forgotten..I will still listen to this wonderful music.
And still I sob my heart out every time I watch this... what a fabulous beautiful song sung by the only person who could ever ever have sung this.. Thank You the The Shop Boys and Thank you Shirley.... xx
This song is one of the most beautiful ever written. No one but Dame Shirley Bassey could do it any justice. Her voice is still powerful, strong, rich and beautiful after all these years. Long live the Dame. You are loved and oh so valued!
im crying...how beautiful..my old bassey is back.....this song is ...welll..nothing short of brilliance............xxxxi love shirl.....x
No matter how many times I listen that final note always makes me cry.
PSB write the most beautiful bittersweet songs, nobody else even comes close.
no other 70+ yr old would have such songwriters writing for them. long live DSB!
Here is where Shirley rises above the other female singers and what has made her career span decades. When her strap on her gown fell off on to her arm at a critical part of the song, she left it there, because if she made a big to do to bring it back on top, it would have ruined what she was building up to and she waited almost till the spotlight was out before bringing it back up. Genius!!
Nobody in her class she is fantastic supurb wonderful a truly truly great star Dame Shirley is the best singer that Britian has - and we should be so very proud of her and what she has achieved in her lifetime, long may we be bewitched thrilled by this lovely Dame. God Bless her. Love Michael
