Imagine the disappointment of a robber breaking into this house
That closet reveal was simultaneously anticlimactic and surprising at the same time
Is nice to see that he knows what he likes and doesn't deprive himself of it. He has exactly what he wants and needs .
the robot vacuum has an uncomplicated life
I love this because his space is mininal but his life seems full. He has a design business, cool hobbies, essential items, fun stuff, even emergency supplies. Meanwhile my apartment is packed with crap that gives me the illusion of living a certain kind of life. Eye-opening.
He’s got really all the essentials still. He even thinks about emergencies and has supplies for that as a minimalist
Key thing here: Places to go. He goes to sauna and baths. He eats out once a day. He practices sport at the gym. Even with a very full house, it is important to go out and have welcoming places to hang (by yourself or with friends).
THIS is a real minimalist unlike most "minimalists" on youtube, this is the mindset i was looking for i really relate to him, i have an obsessional disgust for clutter, and things are far easier to clean and maintain the less items and clutter there is. It feels like you have everything in control.
Why is no-one talking about that shopping bag he designed? So cool!
The apartment appears a lot bigger due to the minimalist approach. That closet reveal was like who the villain was, and you didn't suspect them.
Dude is one of the cleanest, most organized, arranged and calmest gamers, manga, anime enjoyers I've seen.
As others have mentioned, I appreciate that he hasn't denied himself hobbies in his pursuit of minimalism. He still loves his games and his manga, but by doing it all digitally he keeps himself uncluttered. I can dig that. I, personally, have this innate need for tactile connection to things I enjoy, places I've been, etc. They almost don't feel real if I can't somehow hold them in my hand. I think it might be a sensory thing. I've tried explaining it to people, when they ask why I buy books and miniatures and figures to line my shelves and desk, that, for me, having a little figure or statue or keepsake of a character or story I enjoy or place I've visitied is a way for me to connect to it in a tangible way. That being said, I could probably do with decluttering myself a bit. I own a lot of stuff that I picked up on a whim and don't REALLY have any strong connection to.
An extreme minimalist who still is prepared for emergencies? With a bug out...tube? I am impressed!
Hates curtains but loves projectors. This man is something else.
Kind of strange certainly, but actually designing his own gear to be even more optimized pushes him over into brilliant. I could use a shirt like that.
1:23 "it's pretty packed and messy" that is the most organized bag i ever seen in my life
It sounds like his sense of minimalism allows him to really focus on the things that give him joy. And I'm sure it's an enjoyable hobby in itself.
I think my desk corner alone has more stuff than he has in his apartment. That's mad impressive that he even made his own things to assist in keeping the item count down while still remaining convenient
i grew up with multiple hoarders in the family, a minimalist lifestyle really draws me in, truly love that he's able to enjoy his space the way he wants to
