I have only been out of bed for half an hour and that’s my heartstrings well and truly tugged. Lucy is phenomenal but Martha’s ability to harmonise with her this well and from such a young age, is an art. I love hearing them together. ❤

We are truly honored to be living witnesses to the wonder and glorious beauty that these two earth angels give us when they sing....Lucy is so vocally intelligent beyond her years and then Martha just blows are socks off because at 10 years old she is a master at harmonising and in this song she was adding those little inflections which were beautiful and the sisters connection ....well if this doesn't move you then I'm sorry your in a coma.....I just subscribed as your reactions are real and genuine.....Karl from Canada

I am always fascinated by Martha's progress jumping in 6 month leaps betweem each recording going from this to Silent Night last Decemberr. Must be about due for another duet.

There is an adorable video of them at these ages sitting facing each other on the floor at home while Lucy is helping Martha learn a song (could be this one) so they could sing a duet with each other. Video was posted in one of the Lucy Thomas Facebook groups. Maybe all of them now.

Thank you for reacting to this gem by Lucy and Martha. What an amazing rendition by two young girls! While the song could perhaps be sung better by older girls, they definitely bring emotions that cannot be replicated by older girls. They are a treasure. Lucy’s supporters have listened to all of her works. As you, Aaron, become acquainted with more of her works, you begin to see why her supporters believe her to be so very good as each and every song is a gem. Live performances are far better than studio! We all know that to perform better live is the mark of a master and Lucy is a master of voice. While I understand your reticence to make such a statement, I have no problem stating that Lucy is the best vocalist ever recorded. Whenever I compare back to back recordings like ‘Woman in Love’, Lucy is always better. She is truly phenomenal. I am now glad to have become a member of your site since you are reacting more to Lucy.

Hello A-Aron, once again thank you for this wonderful reaction to Lucy & Martha Thomas cover of Say Something, this was their first Duet together both very young I thing Martha was 10 years old at the time Lucy is 5.8 years older so nearly 16 years old. To those supposed “experts” analysing electronics things like auto tuning and other tricks, this performance is a wonderful example of what you are missing, because yes, singing is about transmitting emotions in the first place. And if it is done with such angelical voices you witness pure magic, as simple as that.

Thank you for that reaction. They have the same effect on me. Isn't it incredible at these ages to sing so well? I wonder how it's possible. It's fabulous. Most singers would dream of singing so well at the end of their career. These girls are really angels, when they sing, but also when you meet them.
