Kobe was asked in the WCF “do you maybe need more help out there? Nobody had more than 15 points and you had 38. No one had more than 3 assists, you had 10.” Kobe incredulously shook his head no and said “that’s not what wins championships. Everybody wants to talk about the offensive side of the ball. That has NOTHING to do with it. We GOTTA defend.” So when presented with the opportunity to throw his teammates under the bus, he took it back to what they need to do as a team to win. That’s what a leader does. That’s not what a sociopath does. The Kobe scrutiny is maniacal. They just truly love to do it. They get high off the sh*t.
