@planecurious

Important update: When we created this video, Trump had toured the plane and was interested in it. Now, as of May 1st, The Wall Street Journal has reported that the US government has commissioned L3Harris to upgrade the Qatari 747 to use as a temporary Air Force One, whilst Boeing is still working on the new planes.

@ashleymoore9063

If Boeing can't deliver the air force one in 6 years it doesn't deserve to be in business

@toddbrown7142

Billions of dollars...Years in the making and not even 1 Jet.
What a Joke

@Firehydrant1051

#1 - It's a poke in the eye to Boeing.

@patrickhuebner38

Boeing aircraft it's just milking the public for every dollar that they can get. They had a very important project to do, and they can't seem to get it done. It is very disrespectful i'm very disturbing. In the future, the government should consider other aircraft manufacturers for other projects.

@ScottPettit-fj2hd

Why is the us gov not hitting Boeing for delays. If this was modern world contracts they would have been so scared to miss a contract date. Dang this is ridiculous.

@ephramtran544

Boeing wants to play hardball. Then Trump will give them a bird by accepting the Qatar plane and retrofitting it to be AF1.

@wagonmaster1974

I wonder if Elon's crew could handle the retrofit of this airplane?

@richter45

It would be a gift to the Air force (Defense Department), NOT a gift to the President. The Emolument rule is MOOT! Get it for America!

@Lt-Dan

He's just trying to put pressure on Boeing to finish the new AF1 they are 2 years overdue.

@johnrobertson9396

I’m skeptical that this aircraft will ever get into service before the original new one.

@celestialfix

I seem to recall that Trump got a fixed price deal from Boeing for the 2 new AF1s…….he wouldn’t agree to cost +. Boeing will have to finish the planes and eat the costs.

@donaldsmith283

That's one of the most beautiful plants i've ever seen.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅😅

@BillZo739

“Former” President?? Uhh… hate to break it to you…

@snuffle2269

Boeing with it's current projection of delivery in 2027 is taking over 10 years to deliver Air Force One 2.0. 10 FREAKING YEARS.
I do hope the quality of work is better than some of the wide body jets they are currently delivering to the civilian and military fleets.

@CrazyPalidin57

They ought to start fining Boeing for contract overruns. Enough of the paying and not delivering.

@robertoperezaguirreeliasca7559

Oh well, it’s just pure shear luxury showmanship
for the most powerful country in the entire world!

@David-nx2vm

That airplane is on the tarmac outside ST Engineering at San Antonio International Airport.

@jamesbond007colt45

It's free...just like the Statue of Liberty...a gift 🎁 ✨️ America 🇺🇸 was going to get it anyway !!!!!!! DEI would have him in a 737 Max 8

@brianb6796

So this is old news? Why is the media acting like they just found out
