@Carboardbox34

Sony's just mad that there's people out there actually putting effort into the custom plates and the controllers.

@Pocapuci

Sony is a multi billion dollar company why they gotta be so greedy

@zeyad1693

Sony is now Ferrari in disguise 😭

@RSkrub

Bro these companies not letting you actually own the things you purchase is getting really fucking old

@carolinamotomadness1987

Sony needs to worry about out there stick drift problem it’s insane to pay 70 dollars for a controller just to get stick drift in a few months or less

@sdbegotist

If the story is about DBrand, the conclusion was new plates were designed to be both a different design from the original, and even offered some smaller improvements for airflow verses the original.
They are still selling these new plates

@Blake13e

You know, so is it illegal to take my system and bust it?

@NirRuhid

My PS5 .. I will do whatever I want with my PS5 ... I will hire a designer to customise my PS5 .. who are they to sue me or the designer?

@jacobdidntmakeit

I almost bought from this guy before they took his eBay page down, his Fallout plates were 🔥

@IAmPixelRice

It's Like Apple Suing Someone If They Made A Smartphone Case That They Didn't Like.

@Braaage-

This video is a bit weird. You claim this is a recent thing but the article you show came out in 2020, which was actually before sony had even launched their own plates. Now of course they allow other companies with licensing rights to make alternatives as well, and other companies like dbrand make alternatives that are legal because they dont use the exact mold PlayStation uses.

although they could never allow custom the last of us or call of duty skins, because that is a seperate ip with their own licensing rights. Obviously selling bootleg merch isn't legal, no matter the quality, but unlike ferrari it's the people selling the merch getting in trouble, not the people buying it.

@satire-anti-clomatick

Sony being a 790 multi billionaire company also asking people for 5 million dollars each day just Cuz you accidently put a drop of paint on your ps5

@JenaLynko

That’s ridiculous! It’s no different than buying a phone case. They should have no say. What court sided with Sony? That judge should be removed. I don’t see shoe brands going after the people who customize people’s sneakers.

@4w53DrFtGyHuJ1L0p

From the sound of it, it seems like the issue is cause he’s selling them, it’s not the customisation itself.

@DazeColan

How DARE you make the custom plates better than our limited editions 😡

@geekatheart9500

All these companies are getting stupid money hungry.

@arvin6606

Japan doesn't f around on legal rights and trademarks. You can customize your own, but selling them is a no no

@ThrowingRave

A financially intelligent company would acquire such supporters who truly care about the PS5 and custom-makes covers with beautiful art, a lazy and greedy company would sue them twice and make trash covers that cost a kidney and a leg. 😂

@cooper0000

none of this is confirmed , send article source.

@TheShadowOfJericho

Sony has always had a bad rep when it comes to their customers. A few years ago I forgot to update my payment info when my card expired and when it came time for that monthly sub price they banned my account, when I called to clear it up they said I had to call back with a 200$ psn gift card, and only a gift card, to cover the "fraudulent charges" even tho it was just the monthly sub price that was charged to it.
