I put my venus fly trap in the kitchen near a window as it receives the most sun and also it has the most natural heat and humidity from cooking and also lack of oxygen causes root rot so keep the window open and make sure your pot has extra holes on the side of the pot so the roots receives oxygen for growth
Ty for all the information you were very helpful I can listen to you talk about plants all day 😊
hi, thank you for the video! I have a question about dormancy - when they are dormant, in addition to the colder temperatures, do they still require the 8-12 hours of light (it would be artificial light) or can they go without as much light? thanks!
This method she talks about is super good for doing it! I know many people who buy one for a house plant and struggle... it’s not too hard if you know what you are doing! Thanks for sharing
I really enjoy learning about these amazing plants!🪴🪴🪴 Thank you for sharing your knowledge!🪰🪰🪰
AROUND 2:20 with the Styrofoam cup, I’m assuming you are poking holes in the bottom of the cup? If so, how many do you recommend, and how big/small should they be? Appreciate any help… What a great idea for a channel! It’s really cool to see how passionate you are with these, not to mention that I believe they are the most fascinating plant I have ever seen. I’m only 40, but I have loved this plant my entire life! Now, I have probably killed at least 25 of them! Lol. Unintentionally of course… Living in the north east, I had no idea that they could go dormant. This is the coolest thing about YouTube, prior to this it was all a guessing game or using the awful instructions on a plant purchased at Lowe’s. Thank you again, I admire your passion and knowledge!
Do you have any questions? Feel free to share them below! I will do my best to answer ;)
Love the way you explain..its so helpful...thank you..love watching you and your videos .
Just ordered mine…Thanks for your expertise 👍
I love venus flytraps! Theyre just so cool! BTW I love your advice😃
I love the Kurzgesagt calendar!
Hi, thanks for sharing. May I leave my indoor venus outside for the winter to help it getting winter dormancy? could it be too much of a shock for the plants?
Thank you for your knowledge and sharing. Do these plants stay about the same size or do they grow bigger?
Absolutely beautiful 😍 ,very helpful you have wonderful energy ✨️ ❤️
You covered a lot of information. Thanks, are there other carnivorous plants you study/work with ??
I used to have a reeftank set up. But that didnt go well. So now for my indoor lighting i used my Aqua illuination Hydra 26 for my venus flytraps. They love the blue and red light that they get from the led light.
Liked again, will get back to these tutorials tomorrow, I need to learn how to care for my one plant, it's doing OK but, could be much better...!
Breathing holes prevent root rot as the excess water is being evaporated through those holes so the soil won't be soaked but lightly moist
When you let it go dormant what is the coldest temperature they can be in before they don’t come back in the spring time. Our winters her in mass get below 0’ Fahrenheit a lot of the time with snow many times. I was thinking about putting a five gallon pail over it during the winter hoping that would work but I don’t think there would be any air circulation. Do you think it would be okay with the temperatures below freezing on some days for the three months?? Thank you for your help
