Me not realizing that having a micro center literally right around the corner is actually so lucky
I never realized micro centers were so sparse, and we’ve got three of them in our state where I happen to live less than 15 minutes away from one
Still love micro center, bought my ram and ssd upgrades from them and bought my current gaming laptop (a stock lenovo loq 15 for those interested) and both purchases have been well worth the money and have had zero issues
When he said noctua I could’ve sworn he said hawk tuah the brain rot is taking hold
Ugh, they used too have this around the corner till they closed down 😢😢. Anyone who lives near one is blessed.
plot twist: their build is 825 but use that 75 collier just to round it to 900 for marketing
It makes a lot of sense actually, get yourself a cooler you’ll have forever and you save on your next build. My first build five years ago used a NH D15 with a 3700x. That same cooler now cools a 7950X.
that cooler is an investment. itll add value to the current setup, let the person push the cpu a bit of even try some clockwork, and on top of that it will transfer over to any future pc, unlike most other parts. only other place id consider telling a noob to invest are mouse and keyboard, but even those will come down to preference. a good cooler will always cool good though
The things i love about a Micro center and would LOVE to have near me, is the amount of pc hardware they have in store, that you can see in person, before buying. And from what i understand, you can build/or get help building your pc in the store, for some of them at least. And they also offer a lot of good deals on bundles. There is 0 of this kind of store in my country(EU)
Thermal right peerless assassin needs more recognition
Zach NEEDS to make a video about how much we miss EVGA gpus. 😭😭😭😭
Petition to have a micro centre around literally every corner of every city in every country
I have a massive microcenter 15 minutes down the street from me. And it is AWESOME!!! ❤
On the bright side, at micro center I’ve always been recommended coolers much cheaper than I openly said I wanted and been shown that a cheap cooler can get the job done. The employees actually did the opposite of upselling me every single time I’ve gone.
I see it this way: It's a cooler that will stick with you in multiple future builds, noctua is pretty cool with backwards compatibility/future compatibility. It's an expensive part, but you pretty much dont need another cooler anytime in the future.
With a microcenter combo bundle, i got a Ryzen 7 7700X for $100 (its usually ~$275)
still worth it. that cooler will last a long time and you could carry it over to your next few builds. plus if you upgrade your cpu down the line you already have a nice cooler.
Granted the two things that you can't go wrong for the long run in spending extra $$$ on is a good air cooler, case, and power supply (most important in my opinion for longevity)
I want a quiet pc more than I want a powerful one. I'm with that guy.
