@MacI-1970

These and the Ford Tempo were everywhere but all of a sudden became super rare

@tandyedwarddix3668

I had a 92 Sundance. Loved it, had it for many years, and miss it. Got me through grad school and early adulthood. Many fond memories of riding around with friends.😊

@JCats_Quest

More time has passed from the Sundance Duster to today, than from the 1970 Duster to the Sundance

@maclac48

Yo I remember when my girlfriend’s father bought her one of these, it was red with grey cloth interior. Man time flies. Mr Frazier was a stand up man, I pray he rests in peace. I still can’t believe that I’m 50 years old. God Bless whoever reads this. 🙏🏿

@BMan100

Always liked those head and tail lights, just seemed to work.

@TrailBlazerSS502

This baby was one of my favorite 90s subcompact performers. While stamped with a nameplate from the 70s, it had the mind of a 340.

@BigKev1994

Both the Plymouth Sundance and the Dodge Shadow were offered as a prize on the CBS game show "The Price is Right" in the 1990s.

@Canadian_Gamer

These are all in car heaven now lol

@leonlawrencez28

I wanted a Dodge Shadow . The turbo model.

@michaelbabella1103

I had a '93, 3.0L, 5spd in Wineberry with grey interior., i ordered it with abs, was available in '93. SMOKED my friends '93 escort gt because his computer shut it down at 122mph...mine shut down at 127. Thing was a ROCKET, but VERY unstable over 100mph.

@Godzukidan

Almost bought a Dodge shadow V6 with the 5 speed. But I bought a 1992 Escort GT, such a fun car.

@SparkyGriz2191

I bought a red 92 Duster new when I was 19. Drove it like crazy for a year. It topped out at 120 mph. Traded it in after a year on a 83 Porsche 944. That was the first of poor financial decisions as a kid! At least I looked cool but maintenance and repairs made it so I didn’t have two nickels to run together!

@vwestlife

Hey MotorWeek, which format were you using in 1992? Betacam SP? The quality is excellent.

@miguelbaeza65

My family still owns a 92 Sundance. It lives in Mexico and still starts every time we go to Mexico in December. Really slow since we're at 5800 ft above sea level. My dad bought it for $1000 back in 99.

@anthonyfrench3169

As, a kid growing up around this time and my dad having had an original Duster I was super excited when I saw the commercials of this and was glad to see the duster sticker on this.

@iceman45ification1

I had a '93 Plymouth Sundance with the 2.2 4 banger. Never knew the Duster trim had a V6. 🤔 Despite what people said about them, mine was pretty reliable.

@blairbrown4812

Unpopular opinion: with that Mitsubishi v6, this was an underrated JDM Legend

@McBeamer94

Honestly, I got in the video expecting the oh-so-typical 2.2 4-cylinder turbo for this shitbox but the V6 really sweetened my watch! I'd love to own this car back in the day! 💗

@timhanna4700

3.0 valve guides went to crap at around 80k. You could always spot them by the amount of white smoke they'd produce with the odor of burning oil.
