It is kind of crazy that a transmission full of water will still function seemingly normal. At least until the clutches friction material come unglued from the steel😮
I hate it when a video doesn't get finished 😂
TH350 in my first car. 70 Chevelle. Absolutely trouble free for the 18 yrs I owned it. Bought car for $1700 in 77, sold for $5000 in 95.
Trans builder for 40 years, loved building the Turbo Hydramatics. Protect your hands from chemicals and trans fluid, many years will damage your hands badly over time! Great content!
and here i sit, a driver, not a fixer, blown away at just how complex a transmission is. hats off to you mechanics out there!
Bought a Turbo 400 in the junkyard swapped out my Power Glide and that T-400 was in my car for 25 years and never rebuilt!
Turbo 350 trannies are hands down one of the best. 😊
This transmission is one of my all-time favorites. It can handle up to 600 horsepower with a 3500 stall converter. It's a beast!
That’s the cleanest th350 I’ve ever seen used. Brother does not live near dirt roads.
Well I was born in 76 and that makes me almost 50 years old so that transmission was one hell of a transmission and it did its job 50 years are you kidding me
I have a TH 350 in my C20 and it's been maintenence free for years.
Back in the early 80s I had a 70 Grand Prix (Model J) with a Pontiac 400 small block and a TBH400. Hood was a half acre! And QUICK.. I miss that car...
Used to work at a plant in Toledo that built these transmissions. Last job there was in tear down inspections. Left there in 6-69.
I have on in my Chevelle. Never an issue. One of the best.
Way back in the late 60s I helped rebuild a 1951 retired military Jeep CJ5 - I got the fun of replacing all the roller bearings in the steering box - took quite a while to do that job 🤪 - then I played lift jack under the Jeep to drop the transfer case for the 4wheel drive - after we ( my two God brothers and me) took a test drive to see if everything was good - and we flipped it backwards end over end down a lake dam - no real damage except for us 🤪🤪
Never seen someone disassemble a transmission before. Thats awesome
The TH350s, TH400s, and the TH425s are all badass
This transmission is built like a tank compared to today’s transmissions
My s10 with a 4.3 and a 4l60e has 166,000 miles on it and going strong 💪.
