This is the only place in Japan where a subway train crosses a public road.

It’s on the Ginza Line near Ueno Station in Tokyo, and honestly, I didn’t even know it existed until recently. This weird little crossing is part of the Ueno Depot, which was built in 1927 for the first subway in Japan—and the first in all of Asia.
